Job Overview:


Kyberia Legal, a leading law firm specializing in Intellectual Property (IP) and Business Law, is seeking a highly organized and experienced individual to join our team as a Paralegal/Legal Secretary. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, solid experience in legal procedures, and a proactive approach to managing client needs. This role offers the opportunity for growth, with the potential for training to become a full-fledged Paralegal or Legal Secretary.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and organize client lists, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Proficiently handle filing tasks, including electronic filings and completion of online forms.
  • Assist attorneys with various tasks related to IP and Business Law, such as research, document preparation, and case management.
  • Interact with clients, conduct initial online intake, and manage scheduling appointments.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in software tools such as Excel and Word, with a basic understanding of e-filing systems.
  • Manage time effectively, utilizing tools such as Clio, Rainmaker, Timeslips, Leap, and MyCase, or other legal software applications to streamline processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.


Qualifications:

  • We are willing to train, but prefer candidates with at least one year of experience working in a law office and/or a paralegal certification. Pre-law individuals are also encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interaction and internal collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn new software tools.
  • Flexibility to work either part-time or full-time, with the option for remote work.
  • Willingness to work Hybrid but to commit to being in the office in the beginning of employment.


Additional Information:

  • Compensation: $50,000 to $60,000 annually, with potential for negotiation based on experience.
  • Benefits: Healthcare Stipend available, holiday pay, and vacation pay (40 hours, flexible scheduling).
  • Work Schedule: Flexible start times (9 AM to 6 PM, or 6 AM to 3 PM), or we can even accommodate part-time employment.
