Technical Project Manager - Mobile / Web - Orlando, FL

Optomi, in partnership with an industry leader in the mobile / web / streaming entertainment space, is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager in the mobile / web software space This right candidate will be open to going onsite for a hybrid role in Orlando, FL, 2x out of the week.



Must Have Skills / Requirements:

  • 4-5+ years of project management background (project planning, budget management, direction setting & leadership).
  • Understands the software development life cycle and up to speed on the latest flavors of agile methodologies - understand basics of software dev - design, QA, etc.
  • Agile Certifications (CSM; ACP; CSPO; SAFe; LeSS).
  • Experience with portfolio management tools like Clarity or MyPPM.
  • Experience with collaboration tools like SharePoint, Smartsheet, JIRA.
  • Experience with budget and project financials.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Software Development Lifecycle experience.
  • Experience working in an Enterprise environment.
  • Web Application experience.
  • IT project management best practices owning entire project lifecycle.
  • Working cross functionally with business and tech teams.
  • Financial acumen – project budgets and forecasting.
  • Working closely with Developers, QAs, and Product Owners / Product Managers.
  • Load testing.
  • Design.
  • Mobile applications.

  • Familiar operating within a Tech & Digital organization, working on technology initiatives.
  • Solid communication skills; Ability to be detailed or concise based on audience or desirable outcome.
  • Exhibits adaptable / flexible styles of leadership.
  • A self-starter / go-getter, able to anticipate the needs of their project / leader(s).
  • Coming from a Commerce background - will be working on commerce projects.
  • Smaller expense projects.
  • Typical sustainment.
  • Experience with web dev projects.
  • Commerce space - mobile app team.
  • Understand the product-centric delivery approach.
  • Ability to maintain project budgets to include resource forecasting, using system of record to submit non labor expenses, approving invoices, and identifying financial risk.
  • Lead and manage complex project plans, ensuring seamless collaboration across various teams and workstreams.
  • Act as the point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Use expertise in data analytics to guide and inform project decisions.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate project stakeholders and executive transparent communications.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including timelines, budgets, and prioritization plans.
  • Assist product owners in developing outcome-based roadmaps, aligning project goals with strategic outcomes.
  • Support technical owners in benchmarking tools, providing insights on tool selection and implementation.
  • Promote critical thinking and innovative approaches throughout the project.
  • Produce monthly expense and capital forecasts.
  • Research and provide cause of change for variances from the project scope, schedule, and cost.
