Primary Function: The Senior Financial Analyst conducts thorough financial analyses and prepares detailed monthly financial reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and variance analyses, providing actionable insights to support business decision-making.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Analyze work in progress to see if there are cash flow opportunities, find areas to improve profitability, improve productivity performance, and improve asset utilization.
  • Analyze financial data from various sources to identify key performance indicators (KPIs). Interpret financial results and communicate findings in a clear, concise manner to management. Providing insights on cost management, revenue projections, and investment opportunities.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making. Evaluate potential investments, capital expenditures, and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems to increase accuracy, efficiency, and data transparency.
  • Provide analytical support for special projects, strategic initiatives, and ad-hoc requests from senior leadership. Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
  • Analyze construction equipment to improve asset utilization, cost-effectiveness and overall performance.
  • Benchmark results with similar companies within our industry to improve overall performance.


Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Five years of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting within the construction industry
  • Three to five years of construction industry experience.


Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to present findings in a clear and impactful manner to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data extraction from ERP and data analysis and visualization)
  • Experience with financial software or ERP systems
  • Financial statement analysis
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to improve processes.
