This role will concentrate on advanced accounting practices and financial reporting, particularly in consolidations. Responsibilities include conducting accounting research, formulating technical accounting strategies, and collaborating with various business sectors. Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

  • Oversee and manage the monthly corporate closing and consolidation procedures.
  • Prepare and disseminate regular financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the chart of accounts setup for newly acquired subsidiaries, including legal entity structures.
  • Lead initiatives to automate the mapping of subsidiaries and the integration of trial balances.
  • Develop analytical reports, assess variances, and provide support for internal inquiries.
  • Assist in investigating technical accounting matters and assessing their implications on financial statements.
  • Contribute to the development of accounting policies, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to provide annual financial statements, footnotes, audit details, and other essential documents to ensure a successful year-end audit.
  • Perform additional project-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a public or corporate accounting environment.
  • Experience with consolidations and multi-entity accounting.
  • CPA designation preferred
