Role Overview:
The Product Development Admin III will support the hiring manager in the formulation and development of cosmetic products across multiple categories, including eye and lip products. This role requires strong collaboration with 3rd party vendors for the submission and assessment of makeup formulations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and maintaining color accuracy.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate cosmetic formulas and components submitted by vendors.
- Provide feedback to vendors on submitted formulations and collaborate on necessary adjustments or reformulations.
- Select and present benchmarks and shade lineups to management, marketing, and cross-functional teams to ensure color consistency.
- Participate in seasonal, collaboration, and product brainstorming sessions with internal teams, sharing and testing products live.
- Conduct color matching for projects, storing samples in the office for comparison and approval.
- Present product development projects in person to the Brand President and SVP of Marketing, including sample distribution and feedback collection.
- Manage receipt and submission of formulations to and from vendors, tracking shipments as necessary.
- Work with business partners and internal clients to drive packaging artwork development, facilitate status meetings, and track budgets.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product development within the cosmetics or personal care industry.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse vendors, including those for whom English is a second language.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
