Mental Health Counselor

Portland, United States True You Therapy & Wellness LLC Full time

Company Description

True You Therapy & Wellness LLC is a mental health counseling and therapy practice located in Portland, Oregon. We provide counseling, therapy, and coaching services to individuals, couples, and families. Our services are available both in-person in the Portland Metro area (office location is in Multnomah Village) and through virtual tele-health sessions for clients residing anywhere in Oregon.

Role Description

This is a part-time or full-time contractor role for a Mental Health Counselor. We encourage professionals who hold the following licenses in Oregon: LPC and LMFT as well as Registered Associates to apply. True You Therapy & Wellness is a private group practice looking to expand their reach in providing quality mental health care to the ever growing population of people seeking therapy while maintaining a hands on approach, which is often missing from large corporate tele-health platforms. This position offers clinicians the ability to focus on their clients needs and leave the administrative hassle, including marketing and insurance claims to us.

If any one of the following descriptions sounds like you, this might be the job you need

-You're a registered associate who is struggling to keep a steady private practice due to the limitation of only being able to accept cash. You would like to join a group practice that would enable you to become credentialed with insurance panels (and not have to deal with the headache of figuring out how to do that yourself.)

-You're a registered associate who is tired of paying out of pocket for supervision and loves the idea of having supervision incorporated and paid for as part of your employment.

-You're a clinician who's been working at a large virtual company and still want to mostly hold virtual sessions but in a smaller practice setting, with a warmer, "hands on" feel.

-You've been working in public mental health or other low paying sector and would like to supplement or generally increase your hourly rate.

-You've been running your own private practice but are over managing the administrative side of things and want to focus your energy on taking care of your clients.

Compensation

The Mental Health Counselor will be paid $85 per session, therefore compensation levels are up to the individual counselor's preference of client load. (Minimum of 15 client hours per week is required.)

Other benefits include:

-Office space up to three full days per week to hold in-person sessions

-Access to EHR software for client case management, notes, treatment planning, etc.

-Up to 3 hours of supervision per month (mix of one-on-one and group) for associates working towards licensure

-Reimbursement for up to 20 CEU's per year

-Insurance credentialing

-Full service insurance biller

-Option to work partially or entirely remote

-Career and goal planning

Qualifications

  • Experience in treatment planning and case management
  • Knowledge of mental health principles and practices
  • Registered as an LPC, LMFT or Associate with OBLPCT
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Master's degree in Psychology or related field
  • Ability to self-motivate and manage within non-structured work schedule
