This position is located in Van Nuys. Applicants must live within a 45 minute commute or be willing to relocate.
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our EH&S programs. This role is pivotal in fostering a safe and compliant work environment while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Must be fluent in Spanish and English.

Position Summary:
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager will manage the company EHS Program to support safe work practices and ensure facilities are in regulatory compliance, will be the Chairperson of the safety committee and promote continuous improvement. The EHS Manager develops, plans, and implements programs to maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory laws. The primary goal is to protect the employees, customers, and the environment, in addition to developing, coordinating, and implementing training programs in support of T&C policies and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Policy Development and Implementation:
· Develop, update, and implement comprehensive EH&S policies and procedures.
· Ensure that all employees are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.
- Regulatory Compliance:
· Stay current with local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental, health, and safety.
· Develop strategies to ensure the organization's compliance with all relevant laws.
- Risk Management:
· Conduct thorough risk assessments and identify potential hazards in the workplace.
· Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and enhance overall safety.
- Training and Education:
· Develop and deliver EH&S training programs for employees at all levels.
· Ensure that employees are knowledgeable about safety protocols and procedures.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting:
· Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses.
· Compile detailed reports on incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Emergency Response Planning:
· Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
· Conduct regular drills to test the effectiveness of emergency procedures.
- Auditing and Inspections:
· Conduct regular EH&S audits to identify areas of improvement.
· Coordinate with relevant departments to address and rectify identified issues.
- Collaboration and Communication:
· Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety.
· Communicate EH&S goals, initiatives, and performance metrics to all levels of the organization.
- Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement:
· Establish and monitor EH&S performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and reduce incidents.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Ability to manage comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs.
- Ability to lead site procedural and operational audits and coordinate activities with regulatory agencies.
- Ability to provide direction and consultation on various environmental, health, and safety issues.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections and reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
- 3+ years of proven experience in EH&S management.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or equivalent are preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
