We are seeking an experienced and dynamic EHS Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS Safety, with a minimum of 2 years of management experience at a manager level. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required, along with a deep understanding of environmental regulations and compliance, particularly in water management, and manufacturing.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of management experience in EHS Safety.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
Strong background in environmental management, not limited to safety.
Water compliance experience is essential.
Manufacturing experience, preferably in environments with heavy production lines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience managing a Safety committee.
OSHA 300 and 300 Certifications are mandatory.
1st Aide, AED, and CPR certification required, with additional training certification preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
EHS Management:
Oversee all aspects of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Water Compliance:
Manage water compliance programs, including monitoring, reporting, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Manufacturing Expertise:
Utilize manufacturing industry knowledge, especially in environments with heavy production lines, to implement effective tag out and lock out procedures.
Communication:
Act as a liaison between employees and management, advocating for safety initiatives and promoting a proactive approach to EHS.
Safety Committee Management:
Coordinate and lead safety committee meetings, driving engagement and collaboration across departments.
Certification and Training:
Ensure OSHA 300 and 300 Certifications are up to date. Certified trainer for 1st Aide, AED, and CPR is required, with a preference for candidates certified to train in these areas.
Additional Skills (Plus):
Food Manufacturing:
Experience in food manufacturing is a plus, with knowledge of industry-specific safety standards.
Degree:
A degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field is advantageous.
CERS Certification:
Candidates with California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) certification will be given preference.
