Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Must reside in CA(be able to travel to Bay Area). Regional EHS Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and developing Area EHS Managers, providing expert safety management guidance to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, train, and supervise safety managers within the designated region. Monitor their performance through observations, mentoring, and quarterly goal reviews. Offer support in troubleshooting any encountered issues.
Gather safety data from the region and generate management reports on completed work activities. Prepare reports for corporate and field management upon request.
Conduct safety inspections and field observations within the assigned regions. Collaborate on updating Company safety training programs, policies, and procedures as needed.
Collaborate with the Corporate Transportation Safety Manager to offer leadership, guidance, and program consultation to branch management regarding transportation safety matters. Assist in maintaining driver qualification files and records.
Aid in the enforcement of local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Respond to initial inquiries from regulatory agencies and conduct site-specific investigations as directed.
Participate in customer safety initiatives and meetings alongside branch management. Deliver customer safety training with approval from the VP of EHS and Corporate Training Department.
Assist Area EHS Managers and/or Branch Managers in identifying and evaluating medical providers. Ensure compliance with the Company's return-to-work program procedures.
Respond to incidents within the region, conducting thorough investigations and analyzing data to identify trends and hazardous conditions necessitating policy revisions.
Evaluate employee incidents to determine OSHA recordability and provide necessary information for OSHA recordkeeping.
Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of OSHA, DOT, IH, RCRA Hazardous Waste, MSHA, EPA, and NFPA regulatory requirements. Experience with California OSHA regulations is essential.
Familiarity with OSHA recordkeeping requirements.
Minimum of 5+ years of safety management experience in construction.
Excellent communication skills for effectively managing, training, and interacting with employees, supervisors, and customers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Valid driver's license with a good driving history and satisfactory background check.
Willingness to travel 30% - 60% of the time.
Minimum of 5 years of safety management experience in construction.
Advanced understanding of current construction and general industry safety regulations, with the ability to analyze and interpret data for the safety of employees and job sites on a regional level.
