We are recruiting for a motivated individual to join our client’s North American Administration team. This position is integral to the Publishing Administration, which oversees the comprehensive value chain, including licensing, registrations, royalty collection, and distribution, ultimately serving and compensating writers and clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately inputting and verifying data related to both copyright and royalties.


Initially, this position will report to the North American Copyright team and will later transition to assist the North American Client Services team as the project progresses. The role involves performing various tasks across numerous projects and processes within the administration team.


This is a fully onsite, 12-month contract role based in Franklin, TN with a max pay rate of $15.86/HR.


Key Responsibilities:

- Perform accurate and timely data entry of songs in the administration systems in accordance with global standards, ensuring timely registration of works at industry collection societies.

- Correct data errors and anomalies to continually improve data quality.

- Research artist and release information to be loaded into the database.

- Respond to queries and provide answers to parties with questions about the North American catalog.

- Assist clients with completing vendor and banking information paperwork to ensure payment.

- Provide customer service to clients requesting access to the proprietary royalty portal.

- Investigate and troubleshoot any vendor issues due to lacking or outdated information.

- Handle other projects and responsibilities as needed in response to changing business requirements.


Job-Specific Skills:

- Fast and accurate data entry with attention to detail and understanding of how that data affects other departments.

- Ability to propose and implement solutions in response to day-to-day challenges within the role.

- Comfort with numbers, performing basic addition, subtraction, and ratios.

- Solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly in data management and comparison in Excel.

- Ability to learn multiple, customized systems.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills to work with a wide variety of audiences.

- Ability to respond appropriately to direction regarding deadlines, deliverables, key performance indicators, and service levels.

- Experience in the music publishing industry is helpful but not required; a willingness to learn the details of the business and its processes is important.
