Job Essential Functions:


  • The Test, Evaluation, and Quality (TE&Q) group manages testing, evaluation, analysis, and quality assurance in support of equipment and systems acquisition
  • Develops engineering and operational requirements to determine contractor compliance and implements and controls field equipment systems acceptance testing
  • Responsible for overseeing the QMS process for our NGDV supplier, to ensure compliance, accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness; You will support the ISO 9001:2015 model to identify opportunities to mitigate risk
  • Monitoring supplier quality at the point of manufacturing, integration, and testing
  • Monitor and report on the supplier compliance to the accepted program quality plan
  • Reviews of compliance to quality requirements are conducted to ensure suppliers are compliant to USPS requirements
  • Audit a supplier's system, process, or product to determine compliance to USPS requirements set forth in the contract
  • Document their methods of operation in a brief operating plan referred to as the "In-Plant QAR Operating Plan” to ensure continuity, standardization and to aid assistants or successors. The Operating Plan must be approved by the Program Quality Assurance Specialist and will provide visibility of operation to USPS management to include all Coordinators and Team Leaders


Education & Experience:


  • Must possess a certificate as Black Belt, Lean Six Sigma
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in the quality field
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in the automotive industry
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Experience in automotive and associated specifications, inspection process, safety standards such as the OSHA, and recommended maintenance practices


Preferred Qualifications:


  • A bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years' experience in a Quality Assurance, Team Lead or Auditor position
  • Experience with building reports in Excel, SharePoint, or Access
  • ISO 9001 Certified
