Our client is looking for a skilled Help Desk Specialist to join their team on a contract to hire opportunity. This role will be located onsite at their Mt Prospect, IL office 2-4 days a week & 1-2 days a week onsite at their Lake Villa, IL office. MUST be comfortable commuting to BOTH locations The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of prior IT support experience in a Windows/O365 environment with exposure to Azure Active Directory.


The right candidate will be a proactive and self-sufficient individual with a knack for problem-solving. They will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. A core part of their work involves providing 1st line support to our users and ensuring that their technical difficulties are resolved in a timely manner to prevent downtime.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Triage help desk tickets and provide prompt response and resolution to user issues.
  2. Provide deskside support as needed, including PC deployments.
  3. Manage onboarding of new hires, ensuring they are properly set up with necessary systems and accesses.
  4. Regularly follow up with new users to ensure their technical needs are met.
  5. Occasional travel to training locations as required.


Required Skills:

  1. Proven experience with Windows OS.
  2. Knowledge and experience with on-premises Active Directory.
  3. Familiarity with Hybrid and exposure to Azure will be a plus.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
