Job Description:

  • Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the security infrastructure for the organization. Work closely with IT, development, and operations teams to ensure the security of our systems and data, identify potential vulnerabilities, and implement effective security measures to protect against cyber threats. Expertise in shaping security strategy and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Design and implement secure systems, networks, and architectures in alignment with business needs and security best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify security gaps and areas of improvement.
  • Develop, document, and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Monitor security systems and respond to security incidents, conducting root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Evaluate and recommend security solutions, tools, and technologies to enhance our security posture.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on security best practices and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and other industry standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and trends, and adjust security strategies accordingly.
  • Lead or support security audits and assessments, both internal and external.

  • Architect that can go very deep and can have a detailed, granular conversation with engineers to build out systems
  • Broad skillset - development, engineering, architecture, but focus and scope of security

  • Design playbooks for PoC testing and cyber response
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a security architect or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
  • Experience with designing and implementing security solutions, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and encryption.
  • Proficiency in network security, application security, cloud security, and identity and access management (IAM).
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, AWS Certified Security Specialty) are highly desirable.
  • Additional Skills:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
