As a Mutual Fund Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the mutual fund operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in preparing and filing regulatory documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulatory authorities
  • Conduct legal research on mutual fund compliance issues and provide analysis and recommendations
  • Review fund offering documents, prospectuses, and other legal disclosures for accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather necessary information for regulatory filings and disclosures
  • Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries and examinations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments affecting mutual funds and investment management industry


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a paralegal in a law firm or financial services firm, with a focus on mutual fund compliance preferred
  • Strong understanding of SEC regulations governing mutual funds, including the Investment Company Act of 1940
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
