Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Girls Product Toy Designer. The Girls Product Toy Designer will be responsible for designing and creating innovative and engaging toys for girls. They will collaborate with the product development team to bring ideas to life, conduct market research, create product prototypes, and perform product testing. The Girls Toy Designer will also be responsible for analyzing market trends and consumer preferences to inform toy design decisions.
Responsibilities
- Focus on fashion dolls, small dolls and playsets from rough concept to final prototype
- Create concept sketches, design renderings, 3D models, and prototypes to visualize toy concepts
- Communicate design ideas effectively to cross-functional teams
- Interface with product development and marketing teams in the USA and China as required
- Stay on top of current girls' trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Toy Design, Product Design or related field
- Portfolio demonstrating strong examples of illustration and ideation
- Experience in designing toys for girls
- Strong design skills and proficiency in toy design software (Illustrator, Photoshop and ZBrush)
- Knowledge of market trends and consumer preferences in the toy industry
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in toy production
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Creative with the ability to think outside the box
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
