Real Estate Paralegal

The Real Estate Paralegal is responsible for providing paralegal support and assistance to attorneys in the coordination, management, and supervision of all aspects of real estate transactions including, but not limited to review/analysis of real estate property title and surveys; UCC searches, review tenant estoppels and SNDAs; summaries and preparation; file management; checklist preparation and coordination of all aspects of real estate closings; entity formation and qualification; and review/abstract leases. This position requires heavy client and attorney contact as well as significant communication with title company underwriters, surveyors and zoning report issuers. The Paralegal maintains professionalism and strict confidentiality in all client and Firm matters

Client billable hour requirement: 1,700 hours annually (142 client billable hours average per month)


Draft and maintain closing checklists and prepare closing books and documents under the supervision of the supervising attorney.

Coordinate and assist with documentation for closings and follow up on post-closing requirements.

• Order UCC searches and review and summarize UCC search findings.

• Prepare UCC financing statements, releases of recorded/filed documents, assist with loan payoffs and preparation of loan assignments and transfers of assets.

• Review/analyze real estate title commitments, documents of record, surveys and finalize title pro formas and review of final title insurance policies; review of zoning reports; order title endorsements; and prepare title escrow instructions.

• Prepare documents for recording and filing and preparation of closing books/files.

• Assist in other due diligence matters.

• Form and qualify entities.

• Perform lease review and lease abstracts.

• Review and analyze tenant estoppels and SNDAs.

• Maintain up-to-date time reports to ensure accurate client billing
