Key Responsibilities


  • Serve as lead designer for the development of design and technical documents through all phases of projects.
  • Create site designs independently on various land development projects using mainly AutoCAD or Civil 3D software platforms.
  • Complete detailed construction drawings and work with internal production staff to meet deadlines for site development projects that include site layout, site grading, site geometry, site utilities, and site storm drainage, for commercial, institutional, infrastructure, and transportation projects.
  • Develop erosion and sediment control plans and design E&S control measures in accordance with state criteria.
  • Perform QA/QC of own work and the work of team members.
  • Work with a senior project manager to maintain the project schedule to ensure deliverables are completed to ensure client expectations are met.
  • Lead the development of effective communication and coordination strategies on assigned projects between other project participants, including architects, engineers, developers, contractors, and clients.
  • Lead in the training and development of junior staff members.


Preferred Qualifications


  • 5+ years of experience within the land development/site civil engineering field.
  • Experience leading and mentoring junior engineers in land development/site civil.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • In possession or pursuit of PE.
  • Experience in AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
  • Have a passion for collaboration throughout the design and execution of projects.
