Position Overview:


  • Managing complex accounts in areas such as Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Repossession, , or Post-Charge-Off Collections.
  • Conducting investigations and skip tracing using available resources and submitting recommendations for account placement with third-party collection agencies or attorney firms.
  • Engaging directly with borrowers (consumer, mortgage, deposit overdraft, business banking) to assess repayment prospects, establish repayment plans or alternative solutions, and collaborating with business partners and vendors to ensure services meet predetermined SLAs.
  • Implementing loss prevention strategies to protect the bank’s interest in collateral while maximizing cost containment opportunities.
  • Reviewing collateral condition, establishing asset value, negotiating sales with prospective buyers, and completing sales transactions with minimal oversight.
  • Developing a thorough understanding of business functions, processes, and operations while staying informed about industry and market trends affecting the department.
  • Performing additional assignments and projects as requested by management.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree, or two years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least two years of experience in collections, loss mitigation, senior customer service, telephone call center, or a customer-facing role.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and departmental software.
  • Familiarity with skip tracing software and bankruptcy servicing systems.
