Opportunity Snapshot:

  • Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+

Qualifications:


  • Excellent diagnostic and repair skills for complex problems in Electrical distribution systems
  • 3-5 years oilfield experience preferred, with a responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors & the public
  • Capable of installing, troubleshooting, and repairing switchboard control panels and components, motor circuits, building and lighting circuits, and control circuits
  • Capable of understanding mechanical relay logic and ladder logic
  • Capable of programming simple ladder logic and VFD’s
  • Proficient at reading electrical installation drawings. Circuit schedules, plans, area class, motor schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Proficient at using all test equipment associated with troubleshooting electrical equipment
  • Knowledgeable of NEC and OSHA standards
  • Able to safely supervise electrical contract work. Able to effectively interface with electrical engineers and energy providers
  • Able to perform preventive maintenance on low voltage electrical equipment such as switchgear, breakers, etc
  • Good computer skills
  • Team oriented, flexible, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Minimum Journeyman electrician license preferred. Electrically qualified per OSHA 1910.269 up to 600V
  • High School diploma or GED required


Responsibilities:


  • Installing electrical circuits and equipment including panels, switches, protective devices, conduit, and related equipment as required
  • Installing and maintain PLCs, 120V control circuits, 480V power, 4160V switchgear, transformers & motors, electronic controls by following electrical drawings and using test instruments such as an ammeter and voltmeter. Installing, examining, replacing, and/or repairing electrical wiring, conduits, receptacles, switch boxes, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components
  • Fabricate, install, and/or run conduit, 3-Phase work, motor terminations, control and instrument troubleshooting, and panel work
  • Test, maintain, repair, and install switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors. Test and install electrical motors, generators, and pneumatic electrical control systems
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and industrial equipment such as motors, starters, relays, solid state circuitry electro-mechanical components, AC, and DC solid state drives or PLCs
  • Interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, resistance, voltage and current
  • May maintain, install, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices
