About the Role: Imagine yourself as an Electrician, playing a critical role in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. This role requires excellent diagnostic and repair skills, proficiency with electrical systems, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You'll troubleshoot electrical problems, interpret electrical drawings, operate electrical testing equipment, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

Operational Activity:
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair switchboard control panels and components, motor circuits, building and lighting circuits, and control circuits.
  • Understand and program simple ladder logic and VFDs.
  • Read and interpret electrical installation drawings, circuit schedules, plans, area classifications, motor schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Use all test equipment associated with troubleshooting electrical equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on low voltage electrical equipment such as switchgear and breakers.
Administrative Tasks:
  • Maintain neat and accurate records.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence in English.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and stakeholders.
  • Professional and Personal Development:
  • Stay informed about industry advancements and participate in relevant training and education.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Inspect electrical work for safety and compliance with NEC and OSHA standards.
  • Supervise electrical contract work safely.
  • Stay updated on the latest electrical codes and standards.
  • Customer and Stakeholder Interaction:
  • Effectively interface with electrical engineers and energy providers.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
Competencies:
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite
  • Strong initiative and self-starter with an ability to perform under pressure, keep neat and accurate records.
  • Ability to read documents (in English) such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure/equipment manuals as well as electrical/Mechanical schematic drawings.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence (in English).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers (in English). Spanish as a second language would be beneficial but not required
  • Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritizing and the ability to work with the team and communicate with other functions.
  • Basic knowledge of Electrical Construction Codes and Practices and material specifications and application.
  • Understanding of Importance of Environmental and Safe Work Practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Oil & Gas and/or Renewable Electrical experience required; Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician preferred.
  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • Electrically qualified per OSHA 1910.269 up to 600V.
  • Must meet all conditional job offer requirements including background check, drug screening, hair follicle test, MVR, agility, and fit for duty.
Physical requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs.
  • Walking, bending, stooping is required.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
