About the Role

This is a key leadership position within the Galvanizing Operations team at Valmont Industries. As a Maintenance Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of galvanizing equipment, ensuring that all safety, quality, and operational requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Supervise and coordinate the maintenance and repair of galvanizing equipment, including overhead bridge cranes, hoists, gear boxes, forklifts, and other machinery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Project Management: Manage capital projects and other plant maintenance repairs, working with vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all maintenance and repair work meets quality standards, and that all safety protocols are followed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including labor hours, materials used, and equipment performance.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of galvanizing equipment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge: Strong background knowledge of 480 volt, 3 phase electricity, and ability to work from heights using equipment such as high reach.
  • Skills: Proven supervisory skills, strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: Industrial boiler certification, structural welding certification, pipe welding certification, licensed electrician, and licensed HVAC.
