We're looking for an HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team

Summary/Objective
The HR Generalist recruits new personnel and assists with the administration of company policies, company benefits, State & Federal policies and provides excellent customer service to all employees. The HR Generalist compiles and prepares reports on HR data and personnel records and is responsible for reviewing and keeping accurate and up-to-date records. The HR Generalist ensures employment records are completed accurately, forwarded to appropriate departments, and secured. The Generalist performs HR functions under the direction of the Human Resources Director.
Essential Functions

- Recruits, screens, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts new employee & benefit orientations and assists with employee benefit programs year-round.
- Assists HR Director with policies in compliance with Federal, State and local legislation including, but not limited to; EEO, FLSA, ADAAA, FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, Unemployment, COBRA, HIPAA, and OSHA.
- Interprets and reinforces HR policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
- Processes, verifies, and maintains personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence.
- Assists with processing work comp and property damage claims with third parties to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Explains company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
- Promotes a safety culture and maintains positive employee relations.
- Other duties and responsibilities as directed.

- Maintain confidentiality and secure confidential records
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management or a related field
- Two to three years previous human resources experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management
- Five or more years’ experience as a Human Resources Generalist
