OVERVIEW:


Our client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of world’s largest distributors of Health care systems, medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products, seeks an accomplished Contract Specialist.


IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Work location & Type: Hybrid | 9950 Woodloch Forest Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77380
  • Schedule: (M-F) 8am-5:00pm (Central Time).
  • Equipment will be provided.
  • Must have high speed internet access.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contract Preparation and Review:

  • Draft, review, and revise contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel to resolve any legal issues or concerns.


Contract Management:

  • Maintain the VMO's vendor management system to track contract status, key dates, and obligations.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Ensure timely renewals, amendments, and terminations as necessary.


Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare regular reports on contract status, compliance, and performance for management.
  • Maintain accurate and organized contract documentation and records.
  • Understanding of financial terms and implications of contract clauses.


Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to internal teams on contract policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Serve as a point of contact for contract-related inquiries and issues.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve contract management processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and legal changes that may impact contracts.


QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have completed High School Diploma
  • 3-5 years of Contract Specialist experience working for a large corporation and can navigate numerous organizations remotely
  • Vendor Management experience is a plus.
  • Should be a detail-oriented individual; responsible for analyzing vendor management processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business operations, contract proficiency, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner.
