Position Summary:
- As Head of Total Rewards, oversee all facets of compensation and benefits, including current and new compensation initiatives, executive compensation, LTIP management, equitable compensation practices, budgeting support, benefits leadership, wellbeing and proactive market trend analysis for real-time and strategic decision support.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, report to the VP of Total Rewards & Org Effectiveness and at times work with the CPCO (Chief People & Culture Officer).
- The role demands hands-on management, strategic thinking, collaboration skills, and tech industry-focused compensation strategy knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
Compensation Initiatives:
- Actively participate in, and at times lead, the strategic planning and implementation of new compensation initiatives.
- Be the lead partner and work with key stakeholders to ensure the successful roll-out and adoption of new compensation programs.
Executive Compensation and Remuneration Committee reporting
- Execute executive compensation strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry benchmarks.
- Conduct regular market research to stay abreast of executive compensation trends.
- Benchmark and adjust compensation packages to attract and retain top executive talent.
- Compile and deliver comprehensive reports for the Remuneration Committee, providing insights and analysis on executive compensation to support strategic decision-making.
Market Data Trends and Equitable Compensation:
- Provide recommendations based on analysis, and provide insights on market data to ensure organizational competitiveness in compensation.
- Identify disparities in compensation and work towards ensuring equitable pay internally.
- Collaborate with the HRBP cohort and other relevant departments to address compensation-related issues.
Benefits & Wellbeing Leadership:
- Lead and implement current and new benefit + Wellbeing initiatives.
- Manage annual benefit renewals for the UAE and collaborate with People Teams across other regions to guide and roll out benefits.
LTIP Administration & Management:
- Maintain and administer the employee equity plan, managing the annual equity grant process through the designated system.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies.
- Demonstrate the impact of LTIP by ensuring employees have a comprehensive understanding of the plan.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of LTIP plans.
Merit and Variable Pay Plans:
- Make recommendations for improvements to enhance overall merit and variable strategies.
- Oversee and coordinate the end-to-end merit review process across all entities within the designated timeline.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of merit reviews.
Budgeting Support:
- Collaborate with Finance and HR leaders in other regions to ensure accurate budgeting for compensation initiatives.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- BA degree, MBA
- 7+ years of experience in rewards or compensation and benefits function
Other Capabilities:
- Strong analytical skills
- Statistics and Math skills required
- Knowledge of Market Data within the comp & benefits space across the MENA region.
- Strong business acumen required.
- Strong eye for details
- Very organised and structured in their approach
- Experience in the digital/ tech industry or a very fast-paced industry
