Location: San Antonio TX 78209 (No Relocation/Travel)

Pay: $63.85/hr on W2

Shift: M-F 8AM-5PM

Duration: 12 months Contract (Possible Hire)

Candidate must have experience in all 4 but his team can train the right worker if the experience is light in one or two areas.

This is more senior level role,.


Summary:

  • You will perform onsite system support on information projects for a Client customer based on Client MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) product software FTPC (Factory Talk Production Center) and other advanced software.
  • Work on project assignments that are dependent upon the Job Level (moderate to complex projects).
  • You may design and implement complex system requirements for customers and prepare studies and analyze existing systems.
  • You will understand requirements to help determine specifications and coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system.
  • This includes system design, programming, and factory testing. Identify program support deficiencies as well as develop and recommend corrective actions.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • You will report to a Level 1 Support team lead and an assigned project manager for specific project work.
  • You will be based onsite at a Client customer manufacturing facility. This is not a remote position. Relocation or Travel is not available.
  • Analyze and document customer's requirements to determine the information system solution and determine applicable control configuration/architecture.
  • Perform conceptual information systems design, determination of system strategy, design of assembled programming.
  • Provide onsite system startup, deployment, testing and training.
  • Understand IT/OT industry specific applications around information solutions, Analytics and MES.
  • Plan, schedule and monitor resources for projects including setting and managing timescales and estimates.
  • Provide verbal and written reports to communicate project status and contribute to project review meetings.


Interpersonal:

  • You will work with several project team members from shop floor manufacturing associates, manufacturing engineers to plant management and IT directors.
  • Maintain customer relationships.
  • You will need to integrate with a diverse team of project members and across multiple time zones.


Business:

  • You will participate in the preparation and presentation of technical topics, as applicable.
  • Coordinate customer requirements with engineering and other appropriate departments to ensure excellent customer satisfaction is achieved.


Required:

  • 2+ years (approx.) of professional experience producing technical/functional work product in a blend of manufacturing, IT and MES projects.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.


Preferred:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Related control systems application experience of 3 years
  • Knowledge of industrial controllers and communications protocols
  • Knowledge of computer networks configuration and troubleshooting
  • Very good written and spoken English.
  • Understanding of Automotive Manufacturing process flow and dependencies.
  • Knowledge of programming languages like Core Java, Python, HTML, Webservices.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Active Directory, PLC Live Data Tags, logging and monitoring, basic scripting, and execution.
  • Knowledge of Rockwell Factorytalk Platform Production
  • Centre (FTPC) and Services Platform will be an added advantage.
  • Shop floor MES devices installation and configuration like Barcode scanners, Barcode printers etc.
  • Knowledge of the OSI model - model describes seven layers that computer systems use to communicate over a network.
  • Basic understanding of ERP systems like PLM and SAP will be an added advantage.
  • Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodology, Application deployment, GitLab/GitHub, JIRA, Bitbucket.
