ONSITE POSITION - MUST BE LOCATED IN MICHIGAN (NO REMOTE)

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans to enhance our brand image, manage media relations, and oversee internal and external communications. This role requires a proactive individual with exceptional communication skills and a deep understanding of public relations strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive PR and communication strategies to support business objectives and enhance brand visibility.
  • Media Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Handle media inquiries, pitch stories, and manage press releases.
  • Content Creation: Oversee the creation of compelling content for press releases, articles, newsletters, social media, and the company website.
  • Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis communication plans. Act as the primary spokesperson during crisis situations.
  • Internal Communications: Ensure effective internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged.
  • Event Management: Plan and execute PR events, including press conferences, media briefings, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor media coverage and public perception. Provide regular reports on PR activities and outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, HR, and other departments to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven track record in media relations and content creation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in PR and communication tools and software.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of communication strategies.
