Position Overview: The Special Inspector Dispatcher is responsible for efficiently assigning special inspectors to various job sites, ensuring that inspection reports are completed accurately and timely, and distributing these reports to relevant stakeholders. This role is crucial for maintaining appropriate oversight on job sites and ensuring the smooth operation of the inspection process.


Key Responsibilities:

Inspector Assignment:

  • Assign special inspectors to job sites based on project requirements, inspector expertise, and availability.
  • Coordinate with inspectors to confirm scheduling and address any logistical issues.
  • Monitor and adjust assignments as needed to accommodate changes or emergencies.

Report Management:

  • Oversee the completion of inspection reports, ensuring they are accurate, comprehensive, and submitted on time.
  • Review reports for completeness and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Distribute completed reports to clients, project managers, and other stakeholders as required.

Oversight and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that job sites receive the appropriate level of oversight and that inspections are conducted according to established protocols.
  • Address any issues or discrepancies identified during inspections and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Maintain records of inspections and reports to ensure proper documentation and tracking.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for inspectors, clients, and internal teams regarding scheduling and report status.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between all parties involved in the inspection process.
  • Provide updates and feedback to management on inspection activities and any issues that arise.

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain and update databases and tracking systems related to inspections and reports.
  • Prepare and manage documentation related to inspection activities, including contracts, schedules, and correspondence.
  • Assist with any other administrative tasks as needed to support the department.


Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a dispatching or administrative role, preferably within the construction or inspection industry.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and databases (e.g., Microsoft Office, inspection management systems).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.


Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with standard working hours; may require occasional overtime or flexibility based on project needs.
  • Hybrid work model – 2 days in office, 3 days home.
