Print Production Coordinator

A Print Production Coordinator at City Lifestyle will own the full cycle print process month to month. To be successful as a Print Production Coordinator, you should have extensive experience in the printing industry and shipping logistics, setting and managing client expectations and be able to maintain oversight of many moving parts and vendors. Communication and emotional intelligence skills are very important in this role as this individual will be required to move seamlessly between the board room and the print line.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for smooth monthly operations by:
  • Updating each print partner’s monthly production schedule
  • Downloading the mailing lists for every magazine and supplying to the appropriate vendor
  • Attaining and approving monthly shipping quotes and overseeing the implementation of those logistics
  • Personal touchpoints with all vendors prior to shipping to ensure quality control and smooth delivery
  • Create and maintain all departmental core processes and guides
  • Oversee uploads to the printer
  • Assess and fix (or delegate to get fixes) any issues brought up by the Quality Control team as they do their final print checks
  • Responsible for all the final approvals and the judgment calls that go with them
  • Is the main contact for the printers when there are issues with the upload/approval process
  • Investigates all printing complaints


This individual should possess the following skills/traits:

  • The desire to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to growth within our rapidly expanding company. Self-induced initiative is greatly desired.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with regards to tracking data and pricing accountability.
  • Great communication and negotiating skills both with vendors and team members.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with regards to pricing, shipping, printing, etc.
  • Open to constructive criticism.


Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in the printing industry are preferred
  • Residency in Kansas City metropolitan area
  • Full time, onsite — devices will be supplied
  • Overtime exempt
  • Driving to onsite cultural activities as requested
  • Sitting or standing as preferred for long periods of time in front of a computer
  • Some travel may be required
