Big Sky Media TX is a growing digital media company that provides end-to-end support for businesses and content creators to produce, distribute and monetize their content to support their business and brand goals. We are looking for a Media Account Executive who wants to grow with us and is a hungry sales professional with a desire to close sales to support our creators. The Media Account Executive must be a highly motivated, self-driven sales professional. This individual will be responsible for generating new client acquisitions, capturing interest in advertising and marketing with future opportunities, and maintaining existing relationships with current clients. The Media Account Executive will be required to make a high volume of outbound cold calls to fuel new customer acquisition. 


This role is responsible for communicating the value of advertising and sponsoring creators with Big Sky Media to local, regional, and national companies that currently rely on traditional advertising strategies (e.g. local TV, newspaper, organic social media, and print advertising) and converting those businesses. Sales activities will be conducted via the phone as well as in-person pitches and presentations as requested.


Role Description

The Media Account Executive will be responsible for managing client accounts, developing and executing sales strategies, and coordinating digital media and social media campaigns. This is a truly hybrid role, with an office presence in Boerne, TX where you can work and use as a home base. But, we support you working wherever allows you to close business and help us support our creators and our growing business.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, close and grow NEW business through proactive and effective cold calling and in-person sales interactions
  • Be an advocate for our creators and programs to convert all leads into future customers
  • Implement strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals
  • Provide customers with information regarding rates for advertising placement on podcasts
  • Engage with local businesses to comprehensively understand their advertising needs, challenges, and objectives.
  • Articulate our value proposition to key decision makers by building in-depth knowledge of our creators’ shows with the capability to communicate how they create a competitive advantage for businesses who advertise with them.
  • Work with clients, creators, and Big Sky Media personnel to develop advertising and promotional campaigns
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of industry market trends and the media landscape for the region, state, and nationally


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field a plus but not required. If you can deliver, we want you on our team.
  • Excellent communication, account management, and sales skills
  • Proven experience in digital media and social media
  • Flexibility and desire to work in a startup environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/G-Suite and CRM software
  • Experience in the media industry is highly desired
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales goals through new customer acquisition and outbound prospect follow up.
  • Ability to actively listen and use critical thinking in a variety of situations and to solve real world problems faced by our target audience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ideal candidates should be able to succinctly explain our offer,  answer questions, provide solutions, and negotiate the best deal to maximize profitability.
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills while prioritizing time management effectively.
  • Excellent computer and internet skills, including the ability to manage multiple platforms simultaneously.
  • Exudes confidence on the phone and is unafraid to ask questions, offer suggestions and solutions while anticipating their customers' needs.
