For this role, we are looking for a relationship-driven, outgoing, and detailed individual who is passionate about the contract market and enjoys working cooperatively with multiple teams.


Position Summary:

The Territory Manager's role is to increase sales revenue, build and maintain customer relationships, and develop brand awareness within an assigned geographical area.


Experience, Skills & Knowledge:

·        5+ years in sales in a B2B environment

·        2-3 years experience managing Independent rep groups

·        Travel experience and ability to travel up to 50% of the time

·        Bachelor’s degree preferred

·        Strong customer-oriented mindset

·        Outstanding writing & communication skills

·        Creative problem-solving ability

·        Strong attention to details

·        Highly flexible work attitude

·        Strong CRM and ERP knowledge – NetSuite, Sage, Salesforce preferred

·        Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications

·        Strong focus on TEAMWORK

·        Experience working in a US subsidiary with European headquarters a plus

·        Is knowledgeable and up to date on changes in the contract/ commercial market, understanding of competitors

·    Works to understand the B2B infrastructure and its complications


Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with assigned reps, monitor sales, sets goals via KPI’s
  • Assist in hiring new rep groups (prospect, train, visit, etc)
  • Meet with customers and reps to address concerns and provide solutions
  • Train reps in sales techniques and company product attributes
  • Devise effective territory sales and marketing strategies appropriate by region
  • Analyze data to find the most efficient sales methods by region
  • Present products and services to prospective customers
  • Participate in industry or promotional events (e.g. trade shows) to build customer relationships
  • Prepare and update contract processes and procedures as needed
  • Assess and grow landscape sales according to KPIs
  • Monitor competition within assigned region
  • Prepare and submit sales and activity reports to the Sales Manager
  • Register / monitor new and ongoing projects
  • Work with retail team when cross-sell opportunities exist with a retailer/partner store
  • Follow-up on estimates in a timely manner – TM following own estimates
