Role: Network /infrastructure Engineer

Location: Westborough, MA

Duration: 12+ months


Description:

· 10+ years of technical experience in IT Infrastructure.

· 10+ years of experience with BA and some experience with Project Management.

· 10+ years of experience with maintaining IT security policies, processes, and guidance.

· Strong leadership experience collaborating with matrixed teams and interacting with client leadership.

· Strong communication (verbal and written) skills and experience.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Ability to effectively articulate and advise infrastructure requirements to various audiences including management, business stakeholders, and technical staff.

· Manage and coordinate with other team members to effectively execute tasks to ensure high-quality deliverables and timely delivery.

· Develop and maintain project plan.

· Develop status reports and provide briefings to both client and corporate management.

· Serve as a skilled technical advisor to business owners and stakeholders.

· Develop documentation as the primary author on Infrastructure related qualifying docs.

· Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure a high level of quality in all deliverables submitted by the team.

· Coordinate and communicate with system stakeholders as required.

· Understand and articulate the architecture of systems and how it integrates with the enterprise security and infrastructure stack.

· Perform all required tasks in a timely and proficient manner while exercising sound time and task management.

· Work effectively with other team members to complete required tasks.

· Overall maintain the integrity and availability of the onsite IT services, manage the overall provision of services and function as primary point of contact for Infrastructure transformation management.

· Monitor overall Service Provision against SLAs

· Have an understanding of the Demand Management process as to how you gather demand from business units for Project design and execution, and work with projects managers and teams to ensure all project implementations are accepted into service accordingly.

· Nice to have experience in the Pharma/Biotech industry and have awareness of regulations as they pertain to the FDA, other regulatory authorities and guidelines such as GAMP and how these pertain to computer systems and more explicitly to Laboratory and Manufacturing systems (GLP. GMP etc)

· Must review, for accuracy and technical content and compliance to regulations, and approve qualification documents as per IT Qualification requirements (e.g. working with IT Compliance and QA)

· Ensure local IS procedures, documents, checklists are kept current and updated when required and drive opportunities for simplification while still maintaining compliance standards

· Provide applicable hands and eyes support to Network cabling/infrastructure, switches, routers, cabinets, CAT cabling etc and maintain such IT equipment to high standards

· Ensure all work is carried out at the sites in a safe and efficient manner while complying with the relevant EHS and Quality standards, policies, rules, including security and permit procedures

· Maintain active co-ordination between on-site and off-site IS Teams to ensure alignment with regional and global processes and seek opportunities for Operational Excellence improvements and alignment with Nexus contract and seek continuous improvement of IT Services

· Oversee work carried out by external vendors where necessary, ensuring the 3rd parties are inducted to site according to the local GxP, EHS, Security and Quality requirements

· Have a flexible approach and support incidents and initiatives out of hours and at weekends as and when the business requires

· Carry our Demand and Capacity management across the server estate, and in conjunction with the Solutions Architect, develop future roadmaps and initiatives and provide budgetary input when required by AIRM

· Manage the Lifecycle of site Infrastructure systems in scope for support and give advanced planning and notice as to investments to be made by IT management

· Contribute to the refinement of contracts and ensuring value for money and adherence to content

· Participate in any meetings and give presentations as requested by management and participate in Town Halls, welcoming VIPs, etc as periodically required by Management

· Proactively support the management of on-prem SAN and Windows file servers, health, storage space and demand for more storage

· Assist with iRequest’s to support the future buildout of on-prem and cloud needs as the business grows.

· Ensure Change control procedures are followed correctly at all times.
