Your Impact:

As a Senior Buyer you are responsible for ensuring the smooth and cost-effective flow of our products by leading specific sourcing strategies, cost reduction and supply.

The Essential Functions:

+ Prepares and processes purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment.

+ Develops effective sourcing strategy for assigned items that reduce cost, secure supply, and minimize supply chain disruptions

+ Assesses current material availability; reasonably predicts future availability based on the market, delivery systems, and other variables.

+ Identifies trends in markets that will affect availability, quality, and cost of raw materials.

+ Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, production, and stockroom, to forecast inventory needs and ensure timely availability of materials and finished goods.

+ Works with accounting to maintain accurate costing, analyze and correct errors related to purchase orders, billing, costing

+ Analyzes inventory-related data and generate reports to provide insights on inventory performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

+ Develop strong relationships with suppliers in addition to, evaluating and reporting on supplier performance.

+ Researches potential new sources of supply for current stocked items and provide options of supply for new items.

+ Other tasks assigned by management.

+ Follows all DG safety procedures as per company policies.

What you will need:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.

Proven experience (4 years) in supply chain or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, methods, and best practices

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data set

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Proficient in using inventory management software and systems, preferably Oracle

Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety standards related to inventory control is advantageous.
