Overview:

The DNC is seeking a Program Content Director. The director will manage a team of content specialists who will be tasked with creating materials for a variety of audiences. We are looking for folks with a variety of backgrounds and experience, and are dedicated to building a team that looks like America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop content strategy, calendar, workflows and timeline for campaign programs.
  • Collaborate with the Program Development team and other departments, as needed, to align on needs and timelines.
  • Oversee the production of all program materials, including handbooks, toolkits, leadership-facing presentations, and support materials for departmental needs.
  • Handle daily and weekly content requirements for the Battleground States department, managing content development and delivery while prioritizing urgent projects.
  • Supervise and direct the Program Content Specialists and Associates, overseeing their tasks, project management, and content creation and editing processes.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience managing a high performing team.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple critical priorities and deadlines in a detail-oriented manner.
  • Ability to handle projects with the appropriate level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with humor and grace.
  • A team player that recognizes the importance of working collaboratively.

Additional Useful Skills & Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in field/organizing.
  • Prior experience on a political campaign.

The salary for this position is $120,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience. This is a cycle hire position with an end date of November, 15, 2024.
