About the Role:
- Part of the Operations Team, responsible for leading the installation crew and implementing components of Solar PV systems.
- Travel within Ohio and surrounding states is involved.
- Work schedule consists of 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
- Installation: Collaborate with the installation team to construct solar electrical systems for residential and commercial clients, including panel installations on roofs and ground-mounted racking systems.
- Management: Effectively manage time and team resources, ensuring adherence to standard practices and guidelines, while providing guidance and ensuring quality and efficiency in the installation process.
- Communication: Coordinate with Construction Managers, Project Managers, and team members, emphasizing effective leadership communication to align efforts and values.
- Physical Aspects: Work in challenging environments like rooftops and confined spaces, operate power tools, and adhere to safety protocols, including wearing appropriate gear and following all safety measures.
- Training: Mentor new and existing team members on best practices for mapping out and installing solar systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 1 year working in solar industry installation
- at least 1 year in a leader/supervisory role in construction
- Minimum two years of construction experience, preferably in renewable energy projects
- Basic understanding of construction and renewable energy concepts
- Proficiency in basic computer applications including cell phone usage
- Willingness and ability for 2 to 4 nights of overnight travel per week
