Job Description and Duties

Responsible for assessing the needs and implementation of service contracts. May provide oversight to the Contract Manager that is responsible for planning, creating, implementing, and monitoring State service contracts. Maintains a tracking mechanism for encumbrances and expenditures, creates and assists with processing major purchases. Researches and compiles reports as an intermediate level user of AMS, IMMS, and other databases. Responsible for managing the Region IMMS coordination. Requests and/or provides IMMS expenditure reports, physical inventory management, damage claims, and monitors time and expense entries. Acts as the backup for reviewing and approving staff time for the Sunrise Maintenance Region. Responsible for effective planning, coordination, care, and operation of field maintenance facilities. Communicates with Management and coordinates facility repair operations with the District Maintenance Facilities Engineer. Responsible for effecting planning, use, care and service of telecommunication devices. Oversees the purchase and installation/removal contract for vehicle cell phone cradles and mobile radios. Coordinates radio repairs with the Office of Emergency Services (OES) and is the Region Liaison that will assist Headquarters with servicing mountaintop repeaters and future conversions of the radio system. Works closely with the District communications center and is the single focal point for managing the radio and telecommunications devices. Responsible for managing the Cal-Sense Irrigation Program including developing a repair and maintenance plan to get and keep the program in good operational condition. Will oversee and coordinate future conservation programs. Provides reports to Management. Responsible for and manages the Maintenance program expendable property inventory reconciliation and inspections.

Working Conditions
