About this opportunity:


This role is essential for ensuring various Human Resource functions run smoothly, including benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, policy implementation, compensation management, HRMS Administration, recruitment, employment, affirmative action, and employment law compliance. The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills to connect with individuals across all organizational levels.

Key responsibilities:
- Plans, administers, coordinates, and monitors Human Resource functions within the Division.
- Interprets and enforces the employee manual, resolves grievances, and ensures compliance with regulations.
- Manages the compensation program, oversees recruitment and hiring, and maintains personnel records.
- Acts as a liaison between different organizational levels regarding HR functions and policy.
- Develops and delivers HR-related training to employees at various levels.
- Collaborates with legal counsel on EEO and employment litigation matters.

What we are looking for in you:
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Administration, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution. A Master's degree is preferred.

AND
Ten years of progressive experience in a human resource setting,

OR
Equivalent combination of training and experience demonstrating the necessary knowledge and skills.

Licenses and Certifications:
Valid State Driver's License

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Proficiency in English language, comprehension of legal terminology, and adeptness in mathematical computations.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and excellent communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel within the Division and to Territorial Headquarters for job duties.
- Ability to multitask under pressure while upholding professionalism and integrity.
- Understanding and alignment with The Salvation Army's mission and principles.
