Transportation Assistant - Join Our Team

Bella Healthcare Center, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is currently seeking a Transportation Assistant to join our team.

  • Work hours may be supplemented to meet full-time requirements based on transportation needs.

The Transportation Assistant role involves providing safe transportation for residents to and from the facility, outside physician appointments, and events, following established procedures. Collaboration with team members is crucial to ensure quality care delivery and successful outcomes. In addition to focusing on resident care, managing available resources efficiently is also key.

Responsibilities:

  • Transport residents to outside physician visits using facility vehicle.
  • Assist with transporting residents to scheduled specialty appointments within the facility.
  • Provide one-on-one monitoring for residents at risk of elopement during outside visits.
  • Perform basic nursing care procedures as needed.
  • Maintain clean, comfortable, and safe resident environments.
  • Keep resident documentation records up to date.
  • Adhere to departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance quality of care.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or eligible to enter.
  • Red Cross First Aid Certificate required.
  • Previous experience in healthcare or service industry preferred.
