Role Overview:
We seek a dynamic Lead Machine Learning Engineer with a specialization in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to enrich Strider's Engineering team. The perfect candidate will possess a profound grasp of machine learning models, proficiency in Python programming, and in-depth knowledge of software engineering best practices. Moreover, they should have hands-on experience deploying machine learning pipelines in live environments, particularly utilizing AWS.
  • Develop and maintain scalable machine learning solutions focused on Natural Language Processing.
  • Lead the end-to-end ML process, including data exploration, model creation, evaluation, testing, and deployment.
  • Integrate machine learning models into production environments using AWS cloud services.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to translate machine learning models into operational code.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of machine learning applications by conducting continuous testing and enhancements.
  • Enhance software engineering best practices for improved data quality and reliability.
  • Engage in design reviews, code reviews, and team discussions, offering technical leadership and insights.
  • Remain updated on the latest AI/ML research and technologies, steering the adoption of best practices within the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Computer Science, Engineering, or related Bachelor's degree; Master's degree or PhD preferred.
  • 7+ years of Machine Learning or AI background, specializing in NLP.
  • Proficiency in Python with a solid grasp of software engineering best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying ML pipelines on AWS.
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks like PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, and Tensorflow.
  • Experience handling extensive datasets and comprehension of data analysis workflows.
  • Thorough knowledge of NLP techniques such as tokenization, entity extraction, language models (BERT, GPT), etc.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and management.
  • Self-driven with exceptional problems solving skills and keen attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
  • Work experience in NLP for non-English languages.
  • Proficiency in Elastic Search.
  • Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices.
