Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Software Engineer who is dedicated to developing tools that enhance operational visibility and decision-making capabilities for our services. If you are excited about leveraging advanced AWS technologies to handle large-scale streaming data, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:
Your daily activities will encompass extensive coding, system architecture, problem-solving, and design evaluations, alongside various operational duties.
  • Act as the technical lead for a team focused on creating applications and tools that elevate the experience of AWS operators and promote Operational Excellence.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams across different roles and backgrounds to devise innovative solutions.
  • Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Iterate on product features based on user insights, working closely with internal customers and product managers as needed.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development and operation of applications, covering UI, API, Database, and Infrastructure.
  • Conduct design and security assessments for team members to enhance the quality of our services.

About the Team:
The Metrics, Monitoring, and Awareness team is dedicated to developing software solutions that intersect DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and Big Data. Our mission is to ensure that services across all AWS regions meet the highest operational standards and deliver a consistent customer experience.

We process vast amounts of DevOps events to inform our teams about potential risks or issues that could affect service excellence.


Basic Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language.
  • Experience in the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, and operational practices.
  • 4+ years of experience in leading design or architecture of systems.
  • Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
