Waste Services Team Manager
Join our team as a Waste Services Team Manager at our company. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Waste Services Team, managing waste profiling and waste order processes, and maintaining cost structures. You will work closely with both internal and external customers, ensuring a smooth process from start to finish.

- Review and validate Material Profiles for accuracy and completeness
- Thoroughly examine all necessary documentation for proper material characterization
- Conduct regulatory reviews as per EPA, DOT, and State requirements
- Provide clear guidance to Customer Service and Sales teams on necessary actions for approval
- Make decisions to approve or reject materials for disposal or transportation
- Address inquiries from Sales and Customer Service regarding pre-approval information
- Ensure timely approval of materials in line with company agreements
- Verify waste material compliance with permits and explore alternative disposal options when needed
- Coordinate inbound and outbound material profiles for proper processing
- Approve profiles in the system and add handling specifications as needed
- Other duties as assigned to support team and company goals
- Requirements for this role include:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the environmental waste industry
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience with technical teams
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks such as DOT, EPA, and TCEQ
- Expertise in hazardous and non-hazardous waste profiling
- Knowledge of proper handling and packaging of hazardous materials
- Strong analytical skills and a solutions-oriented mindset
- Effective communication skills across different channels
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field
- HAZWOPER certification and environmental industry experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and waste service software
- Passion for serving customers and leading teams to success
- If you have a background in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Engineering, it's a plus
