Role SummaryAs the R&D & Technical Sales Manager, you will oversee and drive the research and development (R&D) and technical sales functions within their company.

You will be responsible for setting product development targets, tracking projects through a comprehensive product development roster, and leveraging your extensive industry experience in acidified and shelf-stable food and beverage categories to push the boundaries of innovation.


Key ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Duties:
Manage and perform detailed R&D functions in the development and commercialization of industry-leading food and beverage products.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis from bench-top experiments to full-scale commercialization of new products.
Formulate and define all Scheduled Process Authority criteria.
Perform preliminary cost projections and analysis for all new food and beverage products.
Collaborate with the Sr. QA Manager to ensure the functionality and process capability of all new products.
Stay current on market developments, industry trends, functional ingredients, and principal competitor R&D activities.
Interact and collaborate with current and potential customers to develop products for their needs.

QualificationsRequired Skills and Experience:


Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred.5 to 7+ years of experience in acidified and shelf-stable food manufacturing is highly preferred.

Proficiency in FDA and Food Safety regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of nutritional labeling requirements.
Strong understanding of food and beverage chemistry.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in and nutritional labeling software systems and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to evaluate and perform digital tasks effectively.
Advanced skills in product formulation mathematics.
Professional appearance, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and adaptability.
Dependable and able to work cooperatively with others.

Physical RequirementsActivities:
Standing, walking for long hours in the lab preparing samples, occasional bending, and light lifting

Hearing:
Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information, sometimes with loud background noise

Repetitive Motion:
Frequent and regular use of wrists, hands, and fingers

Visual Abilities:
Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents and products, and proficiency in using all laboratory equipment
