Position Overview:

 

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team of cooperative physicians and fellow NPs. The ideal candidate should demonstrate flexibility to accommodate the needs of our tiniest KP members. Our team of expertly trained professionals treats our most delicate patients (and their families) with the utmost care and compassion.

 

Your responsibilities will include providing direct care, which encompasses assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and performing technical procedures for a range of normal to high-risk infants. You will manage a neonatal caseload in consultation and collaboration with physicians, while also acting as an advocate for patients and families in recognizing their healthcare requirements related to neonatal situations. You will coordinate both pre-operative and post-operative care for such infants and offer support to neonatal units during critical times. The role requires effective planning, execution, and evaluation to develop neonatal diagnoses and interventions.

 

Qualifications

 

  • At least two (2) years of neonatal care experience.
  • Master's degree in nursing.
  • Hawaii Registered Nurse License necessary upon hiring.
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License in Hawaii.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • National Provider Identifier is required upon hiring.
  • Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.

 

Additional Qualifications:

 

  • Adept in the patient advocate role to ensure a patient-centered approach.
  • Excellent patient assessment capabilities.
  • Proven knowledge and ability in leadership, teaching, interpersonal relations, customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Taxonomy code is required at the time of hiring.
  • A minimum of one (1) year as a Nurse Practitioner in an acute care environment.
  • Preferred: At least two years of Neonatal NP experience within the past two years.
  • Current APRN Recognition with prescriptive authority for Hawaii State.
