You will be responsible for the loading, unloading, and movement of materials within the facility, yard, or work site. The role requires the ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds with assistance. Additionally, a courteous and prompt approach to customer service is essential.
Core Responsibilities
- Review pick tickets, transfers, or other documentation, and follow oral instructions to identify materials or containers for movement.
- Prepare and pack orders for shipping to customers, ensuring accuracy in picking. Efficiently assemble orders for will call customers with speed, accuracy, courtesy, and respect.
- Receive and count returns promptly and accurately.
- Inspect, clean, repair, and maintain formwork as necessary.
- Securely load materials on pallets or into crates for transfer to various locations, applying strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
Core Qualification Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; some relevant experience and training preferred. Alternatively, a suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Ability to understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and other written documents in English.
- Physical capability to manually lift up to 50 pounds and up to 75 pounds with assistance is required.
- Deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication, precision, and attention to detail.
- Forklift certification is advantageous but not mandatory. Training and certification opportunities are provided on-site.
