Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver English language instruction to employees in a workplace setting, focusing on subjects such as safety, quality, equipment, and occupational communication.
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students, including supplementing prepared materials with additional resources as needed.
- Administer and proctor standardized reading and listening tests to assess student progress and determine placement.
- Use formative assessments to inform instruction and adjust teaching methods as needed.
- Utilize technology as a learning aid and development tool to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Encourage learning, growth, and development among all participants, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with managers and supervisors to coordinate student class times, absences, and make-up classes.
- Record attendance and assessment scores accurately and in a timely manner.
- Obtain CASAS proctor certification within 30 days of hire.
- Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and improve student learning outcomes.
- Maintain all Cambria-learning requirements and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely classroom records, including attendance and assessment scores.
- Organize and maintain student materials within the classroom.
- Update and print attendance sign-in pages weekly.
- Maintain classroom manipulatives and other materials.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 2-5 years in an educational setting.
- Systems: Proficient in Google Suite and Zoom.
- Experience learning a language.
- Willingness to work collaboratively on a small team.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Experience applying adult learning theory.
- High-level attention to detail.
- TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certification preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience with CASAS preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Limited to subbing at local sites in the area.
