Job Summary

To assist manager/director with facility operation to support the Augusta University Georgia Cancer and Augusta University campus investigators and their labs and staff.

Responsible for assisting in maintenance of the mass cytometer Cy YoF XT and related experiments. Candidates should provide equipment training, and supervisory support for core users. Responsible for assisting with scheduling access to equipment and keeping billing records for all core users.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Daily/weekly/monthly maintenance, coordination of service, QC and operations of Cy ToF device and accompanying support equipment; Assist with Chemical Safety Database; Assist with Biosafety compliance; Assist with iLab site facilitate scheduling, use confirmation, billing of core use and use hours tabulation; Assist with antibody conjugation and QC, sample staining and data acquisition; Attend regional/national meetings/webinars for continuing education on emerging flow/mass cytometry knowledge and technology; Assist with general lab maintenance including inventory and supply ordering.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and experience in a research, basic science or clinical setting particularly clinical trials research
OR Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and a minimum of three years' experience in a research, basic science or clinical setting particularly clinical trials research

Preferred Qualifications
Immunology, flow cytometry or mass spectrometry experience is preferred but not required. Ample related training will be provided.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality; Detail-oriented; Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases

Salary Minimum:
$ Midpoint: $17.41

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
