Waste Connections Western Region Office is looking for an Office Support Specialist to join their team in Vancouver, WA

Pay will be $23-$25 per hour DOE.

Schedule will be Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. This is subject to change.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with other departments on small projects and tasks as needed
  • Accounts Payable including creating/opening Purchase Orders, Receiving, and Invoicing
  • Assist in organizing In-House Trainings for Employees as needed
  • Greet and assist people in a friendly manner at the front desk
  • Make travel and accommodation arrangements for employees upon request
  • Approaching all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Manage inventory and prepare supply orders for Western Region Office
  • Process incoming and returned mail as well as any customer correspondence that may be needed
  • Provide clerical support for the office manager along with other lines of business as needed
  • Other duties assigned as needed

Required Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects at once
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office productivity tools, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
  • Able to multi-task and handle stressful situations
  • Flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done; adaptable and enjoys a challenge
  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Familiarity with office gadgets and applications (e.g. e-calendars and copy machines)
  • Experience as a front desk / receptionist is a huge plus
