Receiving Specialist

Responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound freight at the LSI facility, ensuring proper maintenance of paperwork and logs for Receiving and Shipping. Monitors operational procedures, troubleshoots issues, oversees shift transitions, provides training, and assists with staffing decisions.
Essential Duties
- Acts as subject matter expert in Receiving department
- Provides training to associates
- Manages Receiving door and provides instructions to drivers
- Ensures accuracy of driver paperwork and collects signatures
- Monitors international paperwork for outbound freight
- Coordinates with team to optimize productivity
- Verifies count and accuracy of freight
- Maintains supply levels for shipping materials
- Performs inventory counts
- Communicates with related departments on order issues
- Controls order flow and performs carrier closeouts
- Assists in palletizing and special requests
- Maintains knowledge of workflow in different departments
- Receives and ships boxes and resolves carrier issues
- Operates power equipment safely
- Maintains clean and organized work area
- Monitors associate performance
Other Duties
- Provides backup for trainer and lead
- Performs other assigned duties
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledgeable in DMS and DMS Client systems
- Works efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Must possess a strong understanding of shipping/receiving processes
- Communicates clearly and effectively
- Demonstrates leadership, prioritization, organizational, and problem-solving skills

- Basic math, reading, and writing skills

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of related experience
- Ability to pass training classes
