Job Description

Position Description: This position plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of Federal organizations, offering on-site/contractor work site support services. The main goal is to efficiently manage, store, and integrate information to enhance internal/external collaboration among different organizational groups. The ideal candidate will oversee the management, development, operation, and maintenance of Power BI/Power App Tools, MS SharePoint sites, dashboards, and related internal collaboration spaces. With the recent shift to Microsoft SharePoint Online (SPO), the candidate will be tasked with developing customer requirements, data architecture, software design, and creating automated solutions using a systematic, agile approach. Additionally, they will provide training and customer support, acting as a technical extension of the service desk to meet specific mission needs by leveraging Microsoft SPO and Power Platform to automate business processes, promote knowledge sharing, and enhance operational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Independently enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and visibility of MS SharePoint sites, dashboards, and internal collaboration spaces.
  • Utilize MS SharePoint features and tools to capture knowledge assets, improving operational collaboration and efficiency.
  • Offer support for metrics reports and data analysis, design enhancements, data management strategies, and training events.
  • Lead assessment sessions to establish work plans, dependencies, project deliverables, and responsibilities.
  • Conduct requirements gathering, application development, and automate processes using Microsoft power platforms.
  • Design customized SharePoint configurations to convey information effectively and enhance user experience.
  • Develop front end solutions using HTML, Bootstrap, JavaScript, CSS, and other web languages.
  • Recommend changes for system and information architecture enhancement, security considerations, and governance.
  • Improve data integration methods within the organization and enhance interfaces between SharePoint and other applications.
  • Implement user-friendly improvements to applications/programs, reducing administrative workloads.
  • Provide meeting support, training materials, user guides, and presentations on SharePoint and related tools.
  • Develop test cases, technical documentation, and troubleshooting methods for applications.
  • Support program/project planning and milestone development, and provide status reports on SharePoint tasks.
  • Perform various SharePoint-related duties as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in Information Technology, focusing on Microsoft SharePoint environments.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Online interoperability with other Microsoft Office products.
  • Advanced knowledge of SharePoint Online features and tools like InfoPath, CSS, HTML, JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with web services, JavaScript libraries, and debugging.
  • Understanding of Section 508 compliancy and Office 365 applications.
  • Knowledge of Agile Development processes and Office 365/SharePoint Online tools.
  • Experience in integrating third-party tools with SharePoint and programming languages like C#.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Interest in adopting new technologies and tools for professional development.

Required Education:

  • BA/BS degree in an Information Technology-related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
