Occupancy Coordinator

  • Position Overview:

- Support the Assistant Director of Housing Operations in project coordination and process improvement.

- Provide administrative and technical assistance, including scheduling and preparing presentations.

- Communicate issues and recommend solutions to management.

- Monitor project/process activity and report progress to leadership.



  • Department Specific Essential Job Functions:

- Serve as the primary resource for student communication, occupancy management, and room assignment processes.

- Oversee room assignments and contracting processes.

- Manage housing applications, cancellations, and placements.

- Coordinate emergency housing requests and room changes.



  • Housing Retention:

- Work with campus departments to support student success.

- Communicate housing requirements and resources to students.

- Reach out to students for feedback and scholarship management.



  • Communication with Residents:

- Schedule mass messaging and manage housing communications.

- Update digital signage and promote campus events.



  • Qualifications/Experience Required:

- Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years of related work experience.


- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Project Management skills preferred.

- Previous experience in higher education or university housing management desired.


- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational abilities.
