JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Quality Engineer located in Stafford, Texas, you will manage & oversees the Product Quality of the assigned product line from Customer Quality through Inhouse Quality and Documentation. You will drive process improvements to enhance Customer Quality Metrics like PPM and Response time as well as internal quality metrics such as FPY, Scrap and Rework. You will be responsible to provide Quality Management System support, lead Process Improvements and overseeing corrective and preventive actions.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Conducting data analysis, drive product and processes related continuous improvement projects to improve Customer Quality and Internal Quality Metrics.
  • Investigate and drive corrective/preventive actions for customer issues and internal issues noted during interna manufacturing activities.
  • Product and Process Audits of quality procedures and functions, followed by implementation of CAPA.
  • Application of Six Sigma / Lean Methodologies such as Process Mapping, FMEA, DOE, Gage R&R
  • Develop and implement Manufacturing improvements and methodologies.
  • Any other special tasks, as assigned.

Analyze multiple and diverse sources of information to define problems accurately before moving to solutions. Set aggressive goals and have high standard. For This Role, You Will Need:
  • BS degree in Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering with 5+ years of experience in Quality/ Manufacturing
  • Experience & knowledge of power industry standards ASME Codes, ANSI, ASTM, military specifications and other material and welding standards
  • Proficiency in utilizing MS Access, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Proven self-driven individual with positive go-get attitude able to motivate and influence a diverse work force at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain customer relationships, with excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and operate on a team-based environment.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Working knowledge in Valves - Castings, Component Machining, assembly & test, trouble shooting
  • Proficiency in ISO/PED standards with working knowledge on NDE
